Auditor Refresher for ISO 9001-2000: March 4 in Del Mar,
California

This course interprets the new requirements of ISO 9001:2000 for experienced auditors and explains how to conduct more effective audits of quality management systems. Note: Approved as ISO 9001:2000 transition training for RAB-certified QMS auditors by the Registrar Accredition Board and accepted by IRCA, International Register of Certified Auditors.

Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:

* Understand quality management principles
* Interpret the new and changed requirements
* Review the documentation changes
* Identify possible evidence of conformance
* Learn new ways to audit ISO 9001:2000
* Improve audit questioning techniques
* Take expanded audit notes of evidence
* Write better non-conformity statements
* Focus on value-added audit approaches
* Identify areas of personal improvement

This course is taught as a two-day class with 15 contact hours, plus a one-hour open book examination to ensure the learning objectives are met.

Student certificates display 1.5 continuing education units for the class.

Students receive a comprehensive course manual with copies of all presentation slides. Copies of the most recent ISO 9000:2000 standard and ISO 9004:2000 standard (which includes ISO 9001) are provided for your use in class exercises.
